How Does a glow stick work ?

What I think: inside the stick there is a chemical that reacts to another chemical in a fragile tube and the reacts when you snap it.

What I think after hearing other ideas: No change.

What I think after seeing what happens: My prediction was Correct.

A glow stick contains diphenyl oxalate in the outer casing along with a coloured dye and in the glass tube is hydrogen peroxide  and when mixed causes a fluorescent glow to the color of the dye so if the dye was blue the light would glow blue.
