12 Years a Slave

12 Years a Slave is a true story about Solomon Northup who lives in New York with his family and is asked to do to a violin concert in Washington D.C. Little did he know that everything would change when he is kidnapped and sold into slavery. He is sold to a man who owns a large cotton plantation where he stays for over twelve years. Solomon is always trying his hardest but to the slave drivers his work is horrible so he decides to make a stand and fight.This Movie is a true story and based off of a book and set in the 1800’s this story is excellent and with a all star cast of Chiwetel Ejiofor,Brad pitt and much much more. With amazing acting and a great setting this movie won best picture 2014 at the 2014 oscars. overall this movie is great and deserves the award.
